I am in the process of opening an upscale boutique focused exclusively on bridesmaid attire. My target customer is 18-35, stylishness conscious with modern & sophisticated sensibilities. The boutique will be located in a new shopping district with other honestly high end shops around it. I will carry 3-5 high end designers, accessories (hair clips, jewelry, purses, shoes) and some lingerie. It will operate by appointment only. My direct competition is a franchise called Bella Bridesmaid with a similiar business model, but we will carry some uncommon designer lines. Other shops right through the people like this: Flair Bridesmaid, Twirl, Blue, Here Comes the Bridesmaid. I would like something small (Here comes the bridesmaid is cute but too long I reckon) and catchy that reflects the shops stylishness and that of my customers.
Ok I like designer handbags but most of the clothes that I wear are more edgy rock and roll looking or mod even, so does anyone know of any bags that will suit my clothes surpass? Aptly now I have a few coach, fendi, and L.A.M.B bags and the lanb bags seem to be the ones I carry the most but I am looking some more designers.
I graduated in 2006 with a BFA in Photography, but I want to go into furniture design. I’m having distress finding schools that offer this, or even deciding if I should go back to teach. How do I find a teach? How do I get an internship? Or just a job? How can I contact current designers? Are there any resources out there?
